Merry Making !!!!

Hey ppl....happy holidays!! Christmas is still leaving its mark and New year is round the corner. I am heartily enjoying my holidays to the fullest. Eating, sleeping, and watching movies. Thats all I do....:D. Plus the weather has been kind enough not to bestow the harsh frigid snow. Whoa...merry making it is.

Recently saw the movie 'Bluffmaster'. I think the director bluffed me. I felt like I was 'MTV Bakra'. Yeah right....the movie boasts of loads of entertainment a good story, catchy music, a song sung by abhishek bachchan, a fresh lead pair, and much more but surely fails to deliver the visual promises. Just another hyped movie which already plummeted at the box office. From the I-got-bluffed hang over, moved on to see - 'The Rumor Has It' on Jesus's birthday. Starring Jeniffer Aniston and Kevin Costner, the movie is a one-time-good entertainer. Planning to watch more and more and more movies. Yuhooooooooooo...I am on the holiday-movie spree.

Hope ya folks are enjoying your holidays!!

Still uncertain...

Uncertainty! Thats what life is full of! Who knows whats gonna happen the next moment? We try to keep pace with it. Prophecy is out of sight. No one even dares to wander the terrain of the most unwanted apprehensions. No one can change what is going to happen. Then why do we get bothered by trifles? The clock keeps ticking. The mind keeps pondering. The will keeps sinking. Why? Deep down inside we strive to get a foothold over the circumstances and unsuccesfully try to manoevre them. We know...its out of reach. But still the hope that was kindled some aeons ago, burns up bright to foster enough courage and take back the reins in the hand. Destiny rules but can we change it? Who can convincingly define what destiny is? Uncertainty!

Its gone!!

Who? The exam fever! Wow what a relief! The exams are finally over. I am done with my first quarter. Needless to mention that I still need to overcome a dozen more. Lol. Even before its gone, the grades have began to pour in. God save me.

I am all excited for the holidays! Well, my younger brother is gearing up to come to the US of A. As his elder sister and a student in US for over two years, I need to answer my kiddo's querries more than anything else. Cut to past, when I was packing two huge suitcases to come here, I was really neither happy and confident nor apprehensive. I was emotionless. Yep. I sure was. But now I am apprehensive and over-worried for my younger brother. How will he come here safely, what should he bring with him, who would be his roommates, and many such questions strive for an answer within me. Indeed its strange that I never got bogged down for my first international travel, but thinking about my brother makes me jittery!

One more reason to be happy. My best friend PD got married and she is also coming to US! Couldn't be more happy for her. Awww...I missed not being there with her. Would have loved to watch her walk down the aisle. Congratulations to her and her hubby.

Wow..double the joy this christmas. Ya'll have a good one too!

Indolent...

Today I have been feeling exactly as the word of the day 'Indolent'. Lazy and trying to avoid heavy workload. But these dear exams won't let me run away. Actually, its a wonderful cozy day out here. With temperatures well below subzero, minus four degrees centrigrade to be specific, and snow flurries, I am all Indolent. No no..this post is not because somebody tagged me. :P

Finally received all the products that I ordered on the thanksgiving day !! Yahoooooo. The best one being a 512 mb xD picture card for my digicam. Now is the worst part...sending rebates forms and waiting for cheques. Lolz.

Just had awesome 'adrak chai' made by RS. Man..hez a pro at it!! Got a bit of vigor to study more.

Catch ya later.

Tagged Again

Yeah, I got tagged again. This time by BS for dictionary usage. Earlier it was SA for Bollywood. Whatever the reason, I really enjoy. Its nice because its different and after all its fun! How much..l....well lemme try..once again.

Here is how the tag works:
  1. Flip open a dictionary and point to a word / get word of the day from dictionary.com
  2. Type the word into google images.
  3. Pick an image that strikes you.
  4. Write a 10 line riff off the image.
  5. Use the word or the meaning at least once within the first 5 lines.
  6. Tag 3 other bloggers on your list.
The word is:

wheedle \HWEE-d'l; WEE-d'l\, transitive verb:
1. To entice by soft words or flattery; to coax.
2. To gain or get by flattery or guile.

intransitive verb:
To flatter; to use soft words.

Example:

Editors who wished to carry original work rather than reprints found it necessary to wheedle contributions from readers by decrying inexperience as a reason for not taking up the pen and by offering prizes for submissions.
-- Ronald Weber, Hired Pens

Dulcet ecstasy twas'
His baritone from the enamored sylvans
Sweet charms warming the cockles of heart
To wheedle me within
In the entranced heavens

Wow...for wheedle.....it was tough to find an appealing image..but fun in the end!

The finals have begun and hence i reciprocated to the tagging after sooooooo long. Shucks !!! More finals next week.

Also, my kiddo brother got his US visa finally!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't be possibily happier or happiestestesteestest !!
