If there were a Time Machine...

Wonder what would happen if there were a Time Machine !!!

Could we rewind and forward our lives as we wished to be again present in those moments that we missed or wished to skip. Revisiting times back and forth would be indeed something different. But could we relive those moments ?? I wonder..I wonder..

There are times when we remember our golden eras..I am sure everyone has one or two..or if lucky many many such eras. We sometimes want to recreate the golden memories that we have. Nostalgia is an addiction. Its like hidden glue beneath the wonderful flowers blossomed in the path of time. We often get stuck in such moments and its hard to be where the present is..sometimes its hard to move on carry on where we left the present. If there were a time machine..I would definitely get lost in it and would i come back ?? I wonder..I wonder..

The Wonder of Us - By Diane Anjoue

Sands of time,
hourglass grains,
powerfully
fused and impressed
through
eventuality

Happenstance,
nature's
phenomenon,
created aforetime
Lightning evanescent
collides
with sandy shore.

Miraculous Original;
deep-seated,
consequent
God's own work of art.

An inception;
tangible yet
guarded.
Abeyant of deception's
whirlwinds;
howling, tearing.

One far off
day away,
A masterpiece,
exhumed, evoked;
God's own
design.

The mark
double-struck;
lightning inerrant.
Exhibit
penultimate
the "Wonder of Us".

Once...
creating and
Twice...
Captivating;
ambrosial and infinite.

Afore,
dreamscape cache...
Straight away,
dusting sand from
our hair,
the adventure
awaits!

And as 'Johann Wolfgang von Goethe' says 'Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for changes'.

Indeed !! - Cheerios

Ever tried the 'loop' button on your DVD player. It just keeps looping between two points on the DVD. Its nice to use this feature once in a while. But imagine if one gets stuck in this loop and does not want to go ahead with the movie... He would miss on more exciting moments in the later part of story.

You translate the same fear for life. Certainly, its nice to be able to lose yourself in the 'golden eras' for sometime, but those who live there lives in era other than present are called 'schizophrenic', aren't they?

On second thoughts, this could lead to a gr8 Sci-Fi... wanna try ur hands on it?

"by the time I recognize this moment this moment will be gone but I'll bend the light and pretend that it some how lingered on oooh oooh !!"

" They tell u that the relentless march of time goes own and there are moments that one wants to hold to forever
We encase these moments in the tiny bubbles in the endless sea of our memory and make them rise like white froth when we want to relive theem .

"Imagine the Earth devoid of human life, inhabited only by plants and animals. Would it still have a past and future? Could we still speak of time in any meaningful way? The question - What time is it? or What date's today? - (if anybody were there to ask it) would be quite meaningless. The oak tree or the eagle would be bemused by such a question. What time... they would ask. Well ofcourse the time is now, What else is there

Yes, we need the mind as well as time to function in this world but there comes a point where they take over our lives, this is where dysfunction, pain and sorrow set in

The accumulation of time in the collective and individual human mind also holds a vast amount of residual pain from the past."

-- The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Remembered this when I read your blog and thought of sharing the same :)

@Crackfire: Indeed..time waits for nobody.
@Enjoy Life: Well then it makes us think that having the most developed mind amongst the animals..what did we actually gain and what did we lose?
@Esbee: Interesting but true..

@Hemal: Yea..may be kinda..... But more importantly for me it would be to revisit the golden memories whenever I wanted and then come back to the present.

I am completely floored that in a Yahoo search today I have found that you have shared one of my poems with your readers... :D It leaves me feeling warm and encouraged that you have found something in my poetry that touches something deep inside; after all, I am only a humble poet.

Thank you.
