Classic or Classical !!!!!

Ever lost the track of time in the company of classical music ? Ever lost the track of counting the number of times you heard the same classical song continuously ? Ever wondered what is it feels like getting lost in time and space with the dulcet indian classical music ? Classic..truely !!

Classical music is deep-rooted in the customs and traditions of every possible existing culture. For Indians, it is an inevitable part of the music heritage the country boasts of since eons. And bingo...it verily justifies the rich variety of pure beatific entertainment. There are different forms of classical music that forms the principium of variety of music genres. The very base of music is cemented with the do's and dont's, rights and wrongs, hows and how nots of the musical notes.

I am here talking about the Indian classical music. The swars, raagas, and taals adorn the music heritage of India. I am not at all a connoiseur or expert in this regard. I was introduced to classical music by my late doting maternal granpa. He used to play Tabla and Harmonium, and even tried teaching me couple of times when I used to visit him in school vaccations. It was mere fun then ofcourse... not an easy task too. But then and there...those vaccations laid the inception. My penchant for classical music was nascent in the schooling days...it grew over a period of years.

I like to listen to classical music when there is peace.....when I want peace. It feels like satiating the quest to search a blissful abode. Once I like a particular song it just goes on. Today was just another day....but adorned with classical music. Only 5 songs in my playlist today..that went on for forever. Here are some of the songs I would like to recommend to you.

1. Piya Bavri - by Ajay Pohankar
2. Bavra Man - film Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi
3. Zindagi Jab Bhi Teri Bazm Mein - by Talat Aziz

Shaayari aur Sangeet dono hi aapke dil ko behala sakte hain... aur agar kisi bhi acchi ghazal ko acchey music se taraasha jaaye to us par chaar chaand lag jaaten hai.

Teen saal pehle ek mauka mila tha Pandit HP Chaurasia ka flute rendition aur kuch aur naami hastiyon ke saath unki jugalbandi ka luft uthane ka. Aur tab se classical music mein ruchi rahi hai. Saaz, sur, aalap, raag aur taal ki kuch khaas jaankaari to nahin par itna zarror janta hoon ki umdaa shayari aur sangeet se bane puraane geet aaj bhi logon ke dil ko lubhate hain. Aur woh dilkashi aaj kal ke gaanon mein kaha.

I can take pleasure in Hindustani music anytime, but I prefer to watch someone do Bharata Natyam when I hear carnatic music :)

Looks like you are at a point in time, where one finds a solace to ones own predicament in some good music, verse and almost perfect ambience. If you found it, indulge yourself as a queen.
