The Return of Sujata
Am I sounding like a Movie buff? Yeah..for a second i thought so. But its been after so long that I have resumed my blogging. Looks like events made me take a break. It has been over a week now. My disappearance on blogging scenario is attributed to the hectic yet thrilling time that I had. Moments filled with happines, excitement, craziness, touring, quality time with friends, and some analyzing of internal thoughts ala Reality Bites took the reins. :)
Graduation is one big event in our lives. It changed my life too on Saturday, May 14, 2005. I graduated !! Although unofficially graduated since my thesis will be still pending till July, yet I did. And believe me it was just a thrilling experience. Never felt so elated before. I could feel the adrenaline rush. Yeah...two years of toil coming to a fruitful ending. Is it? For me, it was a new beginning. I could see my world expanding beyond the horizon. PhD awaits me. There was one thing my heart yearned for - the presence of my strength my doting parents. In a filmy ishtyle..I closed my eyes and there I could see them. :) Some close friends were there to cheer for us too. Thats when you feel pure and sheer joy.
After the official convocation ceremony we took our Pharmacist Oath. Oath, that we need to abide by (pun intended). If you ever read our oath, you will find irony in that. Patients pray everyday...God save us from those experimental creatures. :D. The thundering applause by the audience just made the event magnanimous and exciting. More the clapping, more the adrenaline rush. And after that....click click click. The 'make-official' photography ceremony. Just going click click click. Captured some funfilled memories too. Herez one classic example.
The Official Cap Throwing Ceremony.......Looks like we are playing. :D
Also enjoyed the Graduation Banquet in Hyatt the day before graduation. Standing ovation....What more do we want !! Thats sure enough a motivation to make u work on ur everytime-procrastinated thesis...lolz :D
This was just the beginning. On Sunday, we embarked upon our journey to Washington DC. The purpose was a conference, but who cares. Though the place gave some negative vibes this time, yet the whole break-from-routine was fun. Reunion of Friends was the talk of the town. No kidding. Met some oldie-long time-no hear people. Gotta gossip a lot. Thats one sinful yet ecstatic experience "female species" love to go through. Won a SAS programming book at the student ice breaker reception. Took it as a good omen for my PhD. :)
The White House
I was especially invited to the above place to have a fantastic dinner with Mr. Bush. =))
I still cannnot believe that I spent the whole thursday pretending to give a rest to my sprained hamstrings. Household chores never take a back seat. For me I can't I just cannot see shabbiness. I cleaned the whole house and restroom while limping. And spent the whole evening analyzing my crazy behaviors and some deep thoughts. I always rediscover myself on Thursdays...can u answer that?
Overall, it was a fantastic week and the return to the cliched-boring-busy thesis routine. :D So it has been a return to everything.
Before I make an exit...Tapan taught some japanese. Sounds kwl.
Konnichiwa - Good Day. No no. I am not teaching you. I wanted to wish ya. lolz.
Planning to do laundry in the evening and lots of it. Yuck...I just hate it. And with limping legs, Shhhuuucckkks !!!!!
And now I am feeling like a "Jabberwocky" - a talkative monster, who just won't keep mum. :D
